The race for the democratic nominee may be over, but the work to bring desparately needed change to Texas government is far from over. As we witnessed this election year, many people are quite content with maintaining the status quo and their own pocketbooks.

We must hold our elected officials to a much higher standard. We must demand accountability for their poor decision making skills. There is little hope for change in November, so we as concerned citizens need to drive the message forward that we can do better.

I am a proud Texan born and raised in South Texas and one who served his country honorably in the military and his Texas proudly as a school teacher.

Thank you to all the wonderful Texans that chose to make a difference this election year by supporting my campaign for governor. Supporting real change is the only way we will see real change in the way we run our state. This mission has not changed.

At the moment, our situation has not changed. Creating jobs and creating a more equatable public education system are the most pressing need in Texas

Texans have to be open to the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.  As Texans we have a voice. We have the privilege of choosing who we want to represent our interests. In November, we will have the choice to choose the best candidate to represent our needs.
